The spread of poliovirus in Pakistan sets alarm bells ringing, 24NewHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The 18th polio case in Pakistan this year is reported from Quetta, an anti-polio laboratory established at the National Institute of Health confirmed.
This is the second polio case of this year from Quetta and the 13th from Balochistan and according to the lab, poliovirus has been confirmed in a 2-year-old child.
Prime Minister's Focal Person for Polio Prevention Ayesha Raza Farooq expressed deep concern over the polio spread.
