DPM Dar to arrive in New York tomorrow, attend OIC, G-77 meetings

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will arrive in New York tomorrow morning, where he is scheduled to attend meetings of the OIC Contact Group on Kashmir and the G-77 Foreign Ministers’ meeting, according to diplomatic sources.

Ishaq Dar will participate in the OIC Contact Group on Kashmir meeting alongside representatives from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Niger. The OIC Secretary-General and officials from the General Secretariat will also attend the meeting. 

In New York, Ishaq Dar will also participate in the G-77 Foreign Ministers’ meeting. The Group of 77 has 77 founding members and currently comprises 134 member states. Diplomatic sources said meetings between Ishaq Dar and 15 other foreign ministers are also expected in New York, including the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Malaysia, Iran, Türkiye and Azerbaijan. 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also arrive in New York from London, UK, tomorrow, according to diplomatic sources.
