Fake CCD inspector arrested in Gujranwala

Police have arrested a fake Crime Control Department (CCD) Inspector for trying to lodge dubious cases and offering bribes in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

As per the first information report (FIR), the accused tried to counter a case of sexual assault case in Sialkot and offered Rs50,000 as a bribe.

Upon detailed scrutiny, the police found all the record as tempered and fake, and the accused, who was later identified as Mian Ameer, failed to produce any evidence in favour of his statement.

Later, the police filed a case against the accused and also arrested a boy and a girl who were registering a case on his behalf.

The police seized the bribery amount and started an investigation against the accused.
