MDCAT examination will be held across Pakistan tomorrow

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 will be held on September 20, 2026 (Sunday-tomorrow) at 10:00 am across Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

As many as 138,160 candidates will appear in the examination. PMDC established 34 examination centers across the country, including one in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MDCAT paper will comprise 180 questions. Educational experts across the country selected the question paper.

Two separate papers were allocated to every province to avoid the cancellation of all papers.

The questions from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English will be included in the question papers.

All the students are asked to report to their examination hall at 7 am.

The 3-hour examination will comprise 180 MCQs. 55 percent of passing marking mandatory for admission in medical college and 50 percent for admission in dental college.

No negative marking will be conducted during the MDCAT examinations and the “Answer Sheet” of MDCAT will be uploaded after the examination.

In Punjab, the admission test will be held at the University of Health Sciences in Lahore.

In Sindh, the MDCAT examination will be held at IBA Sukkur.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the examinations will be held at Khyber Medical University.

The MDCAT Examination will be held at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad, for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A separate portal has been established for the students of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. A hard copy of the question paper will be provided to students due to internet disruption.

Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal said that the Ministry of Health will only supervise the MDCAT examination, while holding the MDCAT examinations is the responsibility of the provincial government.
