Sindh youth walks over 1,000km to Lahore to meet CM Maryam

A young man, named Ghulam Haider, from Sindh’s Dadu district has reached Sahiwal after walking for 21 days in a bid to meet Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Ghulam Haider said he has covered more than 1,000 kilometers on foot during his journey to Lahore, where he hopes to meet the chief minister and commend her efforts in sanitation, road rehabilitation and development projects across Punjab.
He also suggested that Maryam Nawaz should contest elections from Sindh so the province could be transformed into a clean and well-maintained region like Punjab.
He said he did not face any major difficulties during the journey, adding that he would rest at mosques or roadside eateries along the way before continuing his trek.
