Islamabad likely to receive rain

The weather office predicted that the federal capital of Islamabad may receive rain spell with strong winds and thunderstorm as a westerly wave is affecting western parts of the country and likely to persist till Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The weather office said that following cities with strong winds and thunderclouds may receive rain spells Mianwali, Khushab, Layyah. However, many cities in Punjab will have cloudy weather.
In Lahore, the weather will remain dry and hot and 33 degree Celsius temperature was recorded in the morning; however, the meteorological office predicted strong winds that may decrease the hot temperature in the metropolis.
Lahore’s weather office recorded 161 points of the city at the air quality index (AQI).
The mercury could go upto 39 degree Celsius and minimum temperature would remain upto 24 degree Celsius.
Pakistan stood at the third most polluted country in the world.
Cloudy weather is expected in most upper parts of the country, however, rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in north Balochistan, Islamabad, upper/central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Dust raising/gusty winds are likely in upper Sindh on Wednesday (today).
