Mufti Abdul Qavi explains “Halal Alcohol”

Mufti Abdul Qavi said that the alcohol there is today is not the intoxicant mentioned as forbidden in the holy Quran and hence it is not forbidden.

Qavi was a guest at the city 21 show hosted by Mathira The 21 mm show where talking about the “halal alcohol” controversy, he said that he went to the Murree brewery factory and after thorough research, he has gathered that “alcohol is not at all the intoxicant mentioned as forbidden in the Holy Quran (referred to as Khamr). Khamr is forbidden.

He continued, “All the homoeopathic medications have up to 90 to 99% alcohol in them. All the western drinks have alcohol composition.”

He explained Khamr saying that before the invention of alcohol, juices were extracted from fruits and then heated or buried and after evaporation, the 1/3rd left was Khamr. Alcohol is not at all in the list of the forbidden items. It can be placed in the list of cigarettes, chewing tobacco, and other related drugs.

Mathira asked Mufti about Rakhi Sawant and her proposal to which he said, “She has many women inside her and also many capabilities.” He added, “When Rakhi embraced Islam, she wanted to marry a Mufti from Pakistan and I was the only man of metal that fit the criteria.”

Mufti claimed that he has a very happy life with the woman he married according to the Pakistani law. Quoting a verse from the Holy Quran about acquiring peace and tranquility from women, he claimed that he has tied the knot of Nikkah, according to the Islamic law, with dozens of women from Morocco, India and areas of Pakistan including Chitral, Muzaffarabad and Mirpur “acquiring peace from them.”

He claimed that he is a landlord but he does not spend a single penny from his hard earned money. Even his clothes are gifts from women he has tied knots with.

Talking about the viral Hareem Shah controversy, he said that she did not slap him at all. There was another girl, Aisha, who just placed her hand gently on his face and Hareem captured a video. He claimed that Aisha was later divorced as her husband could not bear her slapping Mufti.

Explaining why he was removed from the Ruet-e-Hilal committee, he said that Yusuf Raza Gilani made him member. Another member of the committee said that Qandeel Baloch should also be part of the committee if Mufti Qavi is. He left the position himself out of disgust for this statement.

He said that Qandeel Baloch wanted to meet PTI chairman Imran Khan through him. She came to meet him at his hotel room. He was going to take shower when Baloch put his cap on her head and took the viral photo with him. “I asked her why she has worn my cap and she said that she did not bring her scarf to cover her head and she wants to get the blessings from my cap.” He agreed that Qandeel’s allegations about him not fasting in Ramadan and drinking coke and smoking cigarette with her all true.

He also revealed that he gets invited to parties in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad on weekends. There he sees the youth engaged in activities like consumption of substances, women dancing and other physical activities. He goes to such parties to monitor the youth and convince them to be righteous.

He claimed that the stage dancer Nargis also met him and quit the industry becoming a homemaker because of him.

At the end, he commended Mathira for her bold and casual questions and attitude.
