The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday arrested a terror suspect in Karachi’s Qayyumabad neighbourhood.
According to the CTD, the suspect, Vikash Kumar, aka Sonu, had been involved in attacks on the forces for a long time and he belongs to a militant outfit named SRA Asghar Shah Group. It’s said that Sonu used to carry out grenade attacks on the Rangers and other forces in Karachi. He also used to provide shelter to SRA terrorists on the instructions of suspect Sajjad Shah.
The accused spied on the foreigners working at the National Oil Refinery with the help of Javed Mangrew. The accused and his accomplices used to brain wash young people for attacks on the Pakistani security forces and host protest demonstrations for the release of missing persons belonging to Sindhi nationalist parties. He used to provide the information about SRA’s terrorist activities to Sajjad Shah, says the CTD.
