Supreme Court issues cause list for next week
According to the Cause List issued for Supreme Court’s (SC) principal seat in Islamabad, six benches of the court will hear cases next week, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The court will pronounce the verdict on the bench’s composition in Justice Qazi Isa’s review petition against presidential reference on Monday.
Similarly, the apex court will resume hearing of the presidential reference on holding Senate elections via open ballot on Monday.
The SC will also take up for hearing the bail petition filed by Talha Raza and Hussain Lowai, suspects in fake bank accounts case, on Monday.
Likewise, the court will hear the case of cancellation of bail of Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani on Tuesday.
The case relating to filing more than one reference against NAB suspects will be taken up for hearing on Tuesday.
Similarly, the apex court will hear the Centaurus encroachments case on Wednesday.
Bench No 1 will consist of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi.
Bench No 2 will consist of Justice Mushir Alam, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Sardar Tariq.
Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Muneeb Akhtar will form the third bench.
Bench No 4 will consist of Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Yahya Afridi.
Bench No 5 will consist of Justice Maqbool Baqir and Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin while Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel and Justice Ameenuddin Khan will be part of the sixth bench.
