Teachers barred for taking part in political activities

The District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore has restricted the teachers and other employees from taking part in political activities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

In this regard Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Education Lahore Parvez Akhtar issued directives that no teacher and non-teaching staff will be part of political activities.

Teachers will be banned from going to political meetings and rallies, CEO Education Authority further directed.

Sources said that several employees are campaigning for political parties on social media.

The District Education Authority ordered the officers to take action against these employees.
