A bus overturned following bursting of its tyre and crushed a motorcycle killing five persons near Okara on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The rescue sources said that a bus full of passengers turned turtle when its tyre got burst near Shahra-e-Al Jihad Check post, Okara Cantt. When the heavy vehicle was overturning, it crushed a motorcycle in its wake. As a result, five persons including a woman were killed. The deceased included the motorbike rider and four passengers of the bus. As many as 21 commuters including 3 women sustained injuries. 

Seven ambulances of Rescue 1122 reached the venue of accident and provided prompt medical aid to the injured. They shifted 3 of the injured to the CM Cantt Hospital and 17 were admitted to the DHQ City Hospital, sources concluded. 

The bus was going to Fort Abbas from Lahore. 

Police said that two of the deceased: student Mughal and Imran Nazir belonged to Fort Abbas. The woman who died in the accident belonged to Faqir Wali, Chak 142. 

Most of the passengers were going to Fort Abbas to celebrate Eid with their dear and near ones.
