CDA to start grand operation against illegal societies

After directives from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhwa decided to start grand operations against illegal societies in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.

The CDA chairman directed to divide these illegal housing and cooperative societies into different categories.

Lists of all the societies falling under the jurisdiction of the Capital Development Authority and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) should be prepared separately.

Mohammad Ali Randhawa said that detailed data should be prepared.

The CDA chairman further said that the data of the layout plan, NOC, and allotments should be finalised.

Mohammad Ali Randhawa said that the names of all those societies that sell excess files and exceed the limit of allotted land must be collected.

He directed the adoption of a zero-tolerance policy against illegal construction and land occupation.

The CDA chairman said that lists of all these illegal housing societies must be updated on the CDA website.

He directed stern action to be taken against all those persons who provided material for the construction of buildings in these illegal housing societies.
