First coronavirus death has been reported from Karachi where a 77-year-old patient died at a private hospital.

Confirming the news, Sindh Health Minister Azra Pacheeho said the man suffering from multiple diseases including coronavirus but the cause of his death was the virus.

The man, who had tested positive, had several other conditions including cancer, hypertension and diabetes.

The minister also said the deceased had no travel history. “So far 93 coronavirus cases have been reported in Karachi,” she added.

This was the first death from the deadly coronavirus reported in Sindh where the number of the virus cases stood at 245 on Thursday night. Three of them have been fully recovered.
