‘RAW-trained terrorists’ caught in Karachi

Karachi Police Thursday claimed to have arrested three RAW-trained members of a banned outfit.
Backed by secret services, the capital police arrested three members of an MQM London sleeper cell, AIG Ghulam Nabi said.
He told the media that the lawmen launched a hunt for members of such cells active to sabotage peace in Karachi.
The top cop said preliminary probe resulted in the recovery of a huge cache of arms and ammunition hid to carry out terror activities.
Ghulam Nabi said: “Based in India, Mehmood Siddiqui of RAW was funding the arrested for accomplishing terror tasks in the country’s commercial hub.
“The arrested, Shahid Ilyas, Majid and Adil, funded Khalid Shamim in Imran Farooq murder and bombings in Karachi including 2009 Muharram blast.”
