Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former President Asif Ali Zardari in their separate tweets condemned Imran Khan’s remarks against PML-N VP Maryam Nawaz Friday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said the hate speech used by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan against the daughter of Nawaz Sharif should be strongly condemned.

In his tweet, Shehbaz lambasted Imran Khan, saying: "Your crimes against the country and the nation cannot be covered up with hollowness.

“What can be expected of the honor and dignity of mothers, sisters, and daughters from those who are involved in sloganeering at Masjid-e-Nabvi.”

In another tweet, PM Shehbaz said he [Imran] is the first person in history to fall into this abyss as a party leader.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari too condemned Imran Khan’s remarks, according to the PPP media cell.

The former president added: “Those who have mothers and sisters in their homes do not use such language, President Asif Ali Zardari.  Please don't fall so low in this politics!”
