Punjab CM approves various development schemes across 17 districts

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting of Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of various province to review uplift schemes in 17 districts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

During the metering, annual development programme, anti-encroachment efforts, urban beautification and infrastructure improvements were reviewed. 

She approved electric bus services for major cities and ordered the construction of electric bus charging stations. 

The Chief Minister emphasized strict monitoring of cleaning operations under the "Suthra Punjab Program" and directed Deputy Commissioners to personally inspect hospitals, schools, and grain markets. 

She directed that Rawalpindi’s Raja Bazaar and historical buildings to be restored. 

Sahiwal’s Saddar Bazaar and Pakpattan Bazaar to be uplifted and Sialkot Fort and Iqbal Manzil to be renovated. 

Similarly, Multan bus stop to be constructed, Wali Muhammad Mosque to be restored and Chowk Ghanta Ghar Multan shoulder be uplifted. 

CM Punjab was told that Shah Sikandar Road to be constructed and sports areas to be developed in DG Khan. Fareed Gate, Al Sadiq Mosque and food street projects to be beautified in the city of Bahawalpur. 

Punjab development program intends to improve city infrastructure, improve public places, and boost business activity across the province. In the end of meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif highlighted that eradicating encroachments and ensuring lasting development are top priorities in this project.
