Lily Collins gets emotional as ‘Emily in Paris’ final season wraps filming
Hollywood actress Lily Collins has shared an emotional farewell to her iconic character Emily Cooper as filming for the sixth and final season of Netflix’s hit series Emily in Paris comes to an end.
In her Instagram post, Collins reflected on her journey as Emily, a character she has portrayed since the show premiered in 2020. Sharing a picture from the set, the actress revealed that her final day of filming was filled with mixed emotions.
“It’s impossible to find the words for what this journey has meant to me,” Collins wrote, adding that Emily had been a part of her life for many years and continued to “surprise, inspire and challenge” her throughout the series.
The actress humbled creator Darren Star, writers, directors, crew members and her co-stars for helping during the journey.
Collins also expressed gratitude to fans who have supported the show throughout its six seasons.
Describing her farewell as “completely surreal and bittersweet,” and she felt incredibly proud to have played Emily and been part of something joyful.
She also revealed how deeply the character had influenced her, writing, “This has forever changed me.”
Concluding her emotional message, Collins bid farewell to the character with the words, “Au revoir, Emily Cooper…”
Netflix has confirmed that the sixth season will be the final installment of Emily in Paris. The season is scheduled to premiere on December 24, 2026, with Emily’s final chapter taking her beyond Paris to destinations including Greece and Monaco.
The upcoming season will also feature returning cast members Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu and Minnie Driver.
