The test, conducted by the University of Health Sciences (UHS), began at 10 am and concluded at 1 pm.

Lahore recorded the highest attendance with 11,480 candidates, followed by Multan with 6,911 and Rawalpindi with 6,045.

UHS Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (retd) Prof Sohail Sabir visited the examination centres in Lahore along with other officials.

He reviewed arrangements and met examination staff, faculty members and focal persons.

Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department Punjab Azmat Mahmud also visited examination centres in Lahore and reviewed the arrangements.

Comprehensive security and monitoring arrangements were made at all centres, including NADRA biometric verification, walk-through gates, scanners, security personnel and medical facilities.

Around 3,700 invigilators and supervisory staff performed duties at the examination centres.

Public-sector medical university vice chancellors and pro vice chancellors served as regional in-charges, while principals of medical and dental colleges supervised individual centres.

District administrations also made arrangements for traffic management, parking, drinking water, medical assistance, emergency response and crowd control.

UHS handed over carbon copies of response forms to candidates immediately after the test.

The university said the MDCAT 2026 answer key would be released after 6 pm, allowing candidates to calculate their expected scores.

The official MDCAT result is expected to be announced within one week.
