Shame! Jannat Mirza condemns AI generated video using her face
Pakistani influencer and TikToker Jannat Mirza has strongly spoken out against an unauthorised AI-generated video featuring her face, calling the misuse of her identity deeply concerning and warning of the wider risks such technology poses to women’s privacy and dignity.
The social media star took to Instagram and shared the controversial video along with a detailed note, making it clear that she did not find the manipulated content amusing.
“This is not entertainment. There are real consequences to this kind of misuse, and it needs to be taken seriously. Shame,” Jannat wrote.
She further explained that using someone’s face to create inappropriate or misleading content without their consent is a serious matter.
“This video is not funny at all. Using someone's face and creating videos like this is extremely concerning. Today, it may be my face being used, but tomorrow it could be any girl's face and her dignity could be put at risk,” she stated.
Jannat, who is highly active on social media, said that even she felt extremely uncomfortable after seeing the AI-manipulated clip and urged people to consider how vulnerable women who are not active online could be.
“I’m someone who is active on social media, and even I felt extremely uncomfortable seeing this. Imagine girls who aren't on social media at all their pictures can also be misused in ways they may never even know about,” she added.
The TikToker also acknowledged that AI is a powerful technological tool but stressed that its misuse to fabricate inappropriate or deceptive videos of individuals should not be taken lightly.
“AI is a powerful technology, but using it to create inappropriate or misleading videos of people is not something that should be taken lightly. Strict action should be taken against people who misuse someone’s face or create such videos without their consent,” Jannat maintained.
The reaction came after a highly realistic AI-generated video featuring Jannat’s face surfaced online and quickly made the rounds across social media platforms.
The manipulated clip appeared to place Jannat into a Bollywood-style scene alongside an AI-generated lookalike of another creator, with some social media users treating the edit as a light-hearted creation.
However, Jannat’s reaction highlighted the darker side of such technology, particularly the growing concerns surrounding deep fakes and the non-consensual use of people’s images.
