Major fire breaks out in Gujranwala's Super Yifan Industries
A fire broke out on the fourth floor of Super Yifan Industries on GT Road in Gujranwala, with initial information suggesting that a short circuit may have caused the blaze, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
Rescue teams reached the factory shortly after receiving the emergency call and immediately began firefighting operations. Police teams also arrived at the scene.
According to Rescue officials, eight fire vehicles, two ambulances and two aerial platform vehicles are taking part in the operation. A total of 41 rescuers are working to bring the fire under control.
The fire broke out in a section on the factory’s fourth floor where plastic bodies for washing machines, room air coolers and packaging material were stored. The presence of these materials added to the challenge faced by the firefighters.
The factory covers an area of approximately eight kanals. Rescue firefighters are continuing efforts to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the building.
Police teams are also present at the scene to assist with the emergency response and maintain security around the factory.
Rescue officials said that, fortunately, no deaths or injuries had been reported so far in the fire emergency.
