MDCAT test begins at 34 centres across Pakistan

A total of 138,160 candidates are registered to appear in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), which will be held today at 34 centres across Pakistan and one international centre in Riyadh.

Candidates have started arriving at their examination centres as preparations for the test continue. The examination is scheduled to begin at 10am.

Authorities have prepared a question bank containing around 8,000 questions for the MDCAT. The test will be conducted under the arrangements made at the designated examination centres.

The large number of registered candidates reflects the strong competition for admission to medical and dental colleges across the country. Candidates have been advised to follow the instructions at their respective centres and reach the examination venues on time.

9,201 candidates to sit MDCAT 2026 across Punjab

A total of 49,201 candidates will sit the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 in Punjab today, with the examination being held at 31 centres across 15 cities.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the test is being conducted under the supervision of the University of Health Sciences (UHS). Of the total candidates, 36,633 are female students and 12,568 are male students.

Lahore has 12,030 candidates registered for the examination. They include 9,150 female and 2,880 male candidates. Six examination centres have been established in the city.

The Punjab University Examination Halls on Wahdat Road will accommodate 4,400 female candidates, while 1,600 female candidates will take the test at Lahore College for Women University.

Another 1,624 female candidates are registered at the University of Education’s Township campus.

For male candidates, 881 will sit the examination at Divisional Public School, Township, while 2,000 candidates will take the test at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education examination halls on Lawrence Road.

A further 1,525 male and female candidates will sit the test at the Lahore campus of COMSATS University on Defence Road.

Extraordinary security and monitoring arrangements have been put in place at examination centres across Punjab. Candidates will also undergo identity verification through NADRA’s biometric verification system.

UHS Vice-Chancellor Major General (retd) Professor Sohail Sabir personally reviewed the arrangements for the examination. The examination will conclude at 1pm.

More than 34,000 students to sit MDCAT across Sindh

More than 34,000 male and female students will sit the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) across Sindh, with examination centres established in eight cities.

A total of nine examination centres have been set up across the province for candidates appearing in the medical and dental college admission test.

In Karachi, more than 11,000 candidates are expected to take the examination. The test will be held at NED University and Dow University of Health Sciences’ Ojha Campus.

Meanwhile, a fake MDCAT paper has started circulating on social media, prompting authorities to issue a warning to candidates.

Officials have advised students not to trust fake examination papers or misleading material being shared online.
