There are also reports that Qatar Airways will also carry out more flights from Pakistan to the UK in the next few days.

Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had allowed Qatar Airways to airlift South Korean diplomats and nationals from Pakistan through chartered flights.  The Director Air Transport had issued a formal circular in this regard on Friday last, saying that three Qatar Airways flights will land in Islamabad. Two South Korean diplomats will also arrive in Islamabad from Doha on those flights.

Thousands of American and British diplomats and citizens had recently left Islamabad for their homes in chartered flights including from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

About 800 Pakistani-Americans had returned to the US earlier this month, despite an unprecedented spread of the coronavirus across the US. They had been repatriated to the US via three chartered flights from the Islamabad Airport.

The process to repatriate British nationals is still underway despite hundreds of them had already left Islamabad in PIA special flights.
