PM seeks report from IG over attack on Shiffa Yousafzai’s house

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday sought a report from the Inspector General of Islamabad Police about an attack on the house of a private television anchor person Shiffa Yousafzai.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a statement that the Prime Minister has taken strict notice of the attack on Shiffa’s residence last night.   
The minister said Shehbaz Sharif denounced the incident and assured that the government's main priority was the safety of residents' lives and property.
Marriyum said the PM has issued directions to track down the suspects and punish them severely and the culprits who were engaged in the tragedy would face justice.
Information Minister said she had made a contact with Shiffa who informed her that she was not at home at the time of the attack at the residence.
Reportedly, some unknown armed men stormed the wall of Shiffa’s residence and barged in on Tuesday night when she was not present at home.
According to Islamabad police, investigators are probing a Tuesday night break-in at the residence of the anchor person in Islamabad.
Shiffa Yousafzai claimed that the men mistreated her housekeepers and interrogated them about her whereabouts.
The FIR of the incident has been registered in the Islamabad Kohsar Police Station under the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) Sections 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault, or wrongful restraint), 506 (ii) (criminal intimidation), 342 (the penalty for unlawful detention), and 34 (common intention).
The Islamabad police have provided security to the anchor person and started investigations of the incident from all aspects.
