ECP team to meet AGP on amended election rules

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday decided to send a legal team to the Attorney General of Pakistan to discuss with him the legal and constitutional complications in the ordinance promulgated to amend the election rules, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It was decided in a meeting presided over by the ECP chairman that the team will seek guidance from the Attorney General of Pakistan on the legal and constitutional complexities in the ordinance.
The ECP will finalise its strategy for the amended election rules following its team meeting with the attorney general.
