Independent candidate comes under gun attack in Peshawar

An independent candidate for a provincial assembly seat has come under a gun-attack in Peshawar, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

Unidentified persons fired shot at the vehicle of PK-82 candidate Malik Tariq Awan at the Gulbahar area of KP capital when was on his way to an election rally.

Police have launched a hunt for the shooters. It is stated that Tariq has rivals.
