Woman dies after caught in police-criminal firing in Lahore
A woman lost her life while coming under fire during an encounter between a criminal and the police in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The police encounter took place in the Factory Area of Lahore. Police said that a police team raided a location in Factory Area to arrest an accused, Husnain alias Sunni Butt.
After taking notice of the police team, the accused opened fire on the police. During the exchange of fire, the woman who was later identified as Arfa Bibi came under fire and died on the spot.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhtar Nawaz and Station House Officer (SHO) Factory Area Inspector Asad Abbas rushed to the crime scene.
Later, the police team shifted the body of Arfa Bibi for autopsy and started a search operation to apprehend the culprit.
