Rupee sinks to record low as dollar closes at Rs181.25

The US dollar kept appreciating on Monday against the Pakistani rupee as it traded at Rs181.35 in the interbank market before closing at Rs181.25, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The dollar, with its closing value at Rs181.25, has appreciated by 68 paisa in a single day, driving Pakistani rupee to a record low.
Economic experts are of the view that the Pakistani rupee is under pressure due to the increasing import bill and foreign loans.
They say that $1.50 billion were paid under the head of foreign loans and other payments during the past one month and a week.
