Police on Monday booked two PTI members of Sindh Assembly for protesting outside the residence of party’s dissident MNA Ramesh Kumar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, the Boot Basin police registered a case against MPAs Shahnawaz Jadoon and Saeed Ullah Afridi. Besides these two, the police also registered FIR against several PTI members. They were booked for hurling threats and using swearing words.
According to police, last night the PTI members staged a protest against renegade PTI MNA Ramesh Kumar outside his house and indulged in hooliganism. They said police also arrested two people who took part in the protest.
PTI lawmakers Saeed Afridi, Shabir Qureshi and Shah Nawaz were among the protesters. Speaking on the occasion on Sunday, the demonstrators deplored the dissident PTI members for selling their votes.
They said such lawmakers should be barred from participating in the electoral process so that the politics of sale purchase could be put to an end forever.
