Met Office predicts partly cloudy weather for Lahore

It was partly cloudy in Lahore early in the morning on Sunday while the weather department forecast the same weather for the city during the next 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

The department said that the temperature, which was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius in the morning, would shoot up to 44 degrees Celsius later in the afternoon.  

The department also predicted rain for the city on Tuesday. 

On the other hand, Lahore stood second on the list of the world’s most polluted cities as the overall air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 197; it was 255 over the US consulate, 210 over Phase 8 DHA and 207 over The Mall. 

Extreme heat to persist in Karachi

In Karachi extreme heat has made the lives of people miserable. And to make matters worse no relief is in sight as the weather department has predicted the weather to remain hot and sultry during the next 48 hours. 

The department said that temperature, which was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius in the morning, would shoot up to 37 degrees Celsius later in the day. 

Humidity in the air was recorded at 57 percent in the morning while the breeze was blowing from a south-westerly direction at the speed of 10 nautical miles. 

The temperature will remain extremely hot in the central and upper parts of Sindh.
