Iran Navy allows 26 ships to pass through Hormuz

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz is underway after receiving permission and coordinating with the IRGC Navy.

In a statement, the IRGC stated, “In the past 24 hours, the Public Relations Department of the IRGC Navy reported that 26 vessels—comprising oil tankers, container ships, and other commercial ships—transited through the Strait of Hormuz with the coordination and protection of the IRGC Navy.” 

According to Mehr News Agency, the statement emphasized, “Transit through the Strait of Hormuz is conducted only after receiving permission and in coordination with the IRGC Navy.”

The passage of 26 ships marks a major increase compared to transit rates in the Strait since the start of the US-Israeli aggression against Iran in late February, which prompted Iran to impose restrictions on shipping through the strategic waterway.

Earlier, Iran's IRGC warned that any renewed US-Israeli aggression on the country will trigger a war extending far beyond the Middle East, with strikes in places adversaries do not expect.

In a strongly-worded statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps addressed the "American-Zionist enemy," saying Washington and Israel have failed to learn from repeated strategic defeats and are once again resorting to threats. 

The IRGC said that while the two armies attacked Iran with the full capabilities of the world's most expensive military forces, Iran did not deploy all of its capacities against them.

Should aggression be repeated, the IRGC emphasized, "the regional war that was promised will this time be extended beyond the region, and our crushing blows will bring you to ruin in places you cannot imagine."

Quoting a Quranic verse on fighting those who break their oaths and mock the faith, the IRGC declared, "We are men of war, and you will see our power on the battlefield, not in hollow statements and virtual pages."
