A prominent political personality of Okara, Syed Gulzar Hasnain along with his son called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Senator Kamil Ali Agha on Sunday and announced to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Q, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, Mr Gulzar and his son Syed Suleman Hasnain met Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz and Senator Agha and revealed their intent to join the PML-Q. 

On this occasion, Ch Pervaiz said that the landmark judgements of free judiciary had always raised the stature of Pakistan in the comity of nations. Only independent institutions provide a guarantee to democracy, he added.

He held that a free judiciary always helps state to rise when it decides cases on merit. He was of the view that with the availability of cheap and on-time justice, crimes could be eradicated from the society. 

He maintained that economic prosperity was necessary for peace, security and development of a society. Our politics is based on providing all basic facilities to common and poor man, he added. 

He said during the PML-Q regime, they started Rescue 1122 service for medical emergencies. They also gave free books and stipends to students, he touted.
