Fans love Mahira Khan’s rejected Neelofar style idea

Mahira Khan sparked a wave of excitement on social media via a tasteful and playful carousel on her Instagram, featuring herself in a sleek bob and a candid caption about trying to convince director Ammar Rasool to give her the short-haired look for her character, Neelofar.

In the post, Mahira shares that she even arrived on set wearing a short-hair wig, pretending she had chopped off her hair for the role. The light prank caused brief panic among the team before they realised she was joking.

She admits the idea was “totally shut down,” but the images reveal she may still be a little fond of the look.

The carousel features her in a cosy cream sweater, soft natural lighting inside a car, and a final frame referencing the French film Amélie – a nod to the quirky, introspective tone she envisioned for the character.

Fellow star Yumna Zaidi commented: “Best look” and influencer Ken Doll praised: “Poray social media py eyebrows ka bad Mahira ka short hair ny tahalka macha dia”.

Contextually, Mahira’s recollection aligns with a formal marketing rhythm: Neelofar is scheduled for a global theatrical release on 28 November 2025.

The romantic drama, written and directed by Ammar Rasool and reuniting Mahira with co-star Fawad Khan ever since Maula Jatt, has been the subject of renewed promotional activity across social and traditional media.

With fans already praising the bob as one of her “best looks,” the post succeeds in stirring both nostalgia and curiosity for what Neelofar will bring to screens this November.
