Khloe Kardashian jokes about OJ Simpson rumours

Khloe Kardashian stirred fresh conversation during the latest episode of The Kardashians when she jokingly referenced long-standing rumours linking her paternity to late NFL star OJ Simpson.

The light-hearted exchange unfolded during the family’s Easter gathering in Palm Springs, where Kim Kardashian surprised her younger sister with their late father Robert Kardashian’s personal Bible.

The Bible, once in OJ Simpson’s possession after his 1994 arrest, resurfaced at an auction earlier this year. Kim revealed she had anonymously purchased the item for USD 80,000 after multiple bids. She decided to return it to the family by gifting it to Khloe, who was visibly stunned upon receiving it.

Khloe, 41, reacted with her usual humour, saying that if the Bible once belonged to both her “dads,” she deserved to have it. Kim responded in jest, teasing that the paternity rumours had always been “questionable,” prompting Khloe to laugh and reply that “either one” could be her father.

Despite being present during the exchange, Kris Jenner remained silent, though she has strongly denied past allegations linking her to Simpson.

The rumours resurfaced in 2019 when Kris addressed the matter emotionally on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, calling the speculation “hurtful and untrue.”

She said such claims resurfacing on the anniversary of Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder was “tasteless and upsetting.” OJ Simpson himself also denied the rumours in a video released the same year, calling Robert Kardashian a “brother” and rejecting any suggestion of romantic involvement with Kris.

In the new episode, tension briefly resurfaced when Kylie Jenner asked if handwritten notes inside the Bible belonged to their father. Khloe jokingly replied that the notes were from her “other dad,” referring once again to Simpson, which prompted Kylie to react nervously.

The episode also revealed Kim’s lengthy effort to secure the Bible. Despite initially being denied the purchase through private channels, she ultimately succeeded through auction, paying more than five times her early offer. The storyline continued as Kim showed the Bible to her daughter Chicago while discussing family memories during home renovations.

Simpson, who was acquitted in the highly publicised 1995 murder trial and later served time for robbery and kidnapping, passed away in April 2024 at age 76 after battling prostate cancer.
