PTI Lahore President Akrum Usman arrested again

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Lahore President Mian Akrum Usman was arrested on Friday, the party’s leadership confirmed. According to PTI officials, Usman was taken into custody by Burki Police as he was leaving the funeral of the late Yaqub Barki.

PTI leaders strongly condemned the arrest, stating that Usman had attended the funeral peacefully and was detained without prior notice as he stepped out after the funeral prayers.

They added that Mian Akrum Usman has been actively leading PTI’s election campaign in NA-129, terming the arrest a politically motivated attempt to hinder the party’s activities ahead of the polls.
