Senior journalist and political commentator Fahad Hussain has been appointed as Prime Minister's spokesman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The Establishment Division Islamabad Friday issued a notification in this regard.   

He has already been serving as special assistant to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with the status of federal minister. 

Syed Fahad Husain has previously worked as Dawn's resident editor in Islamabad and as a senior editor with the Express group, where he served as executive director news at Express TV and executive editor at The Express Tribune. He has also written for a number of publications.
