Three suspects arrested in Karachi transgender triple murder case
Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of three transgender persons in Memon Goth last month, officials said on Tuesday.
According to the Memon Goth Police, the arrested suspects have been identified as Sikandar, Sohail, and Sikandar Ali. The arrests come in connection with the shooting incident on the night of September 20–21, in which three members of the transgender community were killed.
Police said the suspects confessed during interrogation that they had opened fire while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Investigators added that the accused are residents of Karachi and interior Sindh and have a history of involvement in street crimes and other criminal activities.
According to SSP Investigation, further inquiries are underway, and the suspects’ criminal records are being verified to determine links with other cases.
Police described the arrests as a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation into the tragic killings.
