CTD arrests wanted TTP commander Nasrullah in Karachi

A wanted commander of outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Nasrullah, was arrested by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi, reported 24News\HD TV channel Wednesday.

The CTD said in a statement that a key commander of TTP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Nasrullah was arrested from Karachi’s Kuwari Colony and arms were also recovered from his possession.

The accused was wanted in serious crimes including terror financing and terrorism. The arrested man used to provide residence to his accomplices in Karachi besides providing medical assistance to the wounded ones.

Additionally, the accused was involved in fundraising for the outlawed organisation through different means and transferred the funds to Afghanistan.

The CTD added that Nasrullah’s brother and other close relatives were also involved in the terrorist activities.

The elder brother of the accused, Muslim Khan, is a TTP commander with Rs3million being placed for his arrest.

His brother-in-law Ehsanullah is also a wanted terrorist with Rs2million head money.

The authorities have also placed a head money of Rs10million for another relative of the accused Azizur Rehman who is also a Taliban commander.
