4.5 magnitude earthquake jolts Khuzdar

Earthquake tremors were felt in Khuzdar District and adjoining areas on Monday morning, triggering panic among residents, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

People came out of their homes and offices and gathered in open spaces, with many reciting the Kalma Tayyaba.

According to preliminary reports from the seismological authorities, the earthquake measured 4.5 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 30 kilometres beneath the surface. The epicentre was located approximately 45 kilometres east of Khuzdar city.

The tremors caused alarm among residents, prompting many people to leave buildings as a precaution. However, according to initial reports, no loss of life or property damage has been reported so far.

Rescue and administrative authorities remain on alert and are monitoring the situation. Further details will be shared if any new information emerges.
