Atif Aslam pauses concert after fan throws phone on stage
A live concert moment that involves Pakistan's famous singer Atif Aslam has grabbed attention on Instagram after an audience member unexpectedly threw a mobile phone onto the stage during his performance.
Atif Aslam was in the middle of his performance when the phone landed on the stage, and the singer briefly stopped singing and walked towards it.
Instead of ignoring the unexpected interruption, Atif picked up the phone and examined it before holding it up towards the audience.
The incident has sparked discussion among keyboard warriors about concert etiquette and the behaviour of fans during live performances.
Fans flooded the comment section with reactions to the incident, with some pointing out that another audience member had thrown a green dupatta (scarf) towards the stage, which can also be seen in the video.
The singer has also remained in the spotlight in recent months following controversies surrounding concert management and event organisers, although the reported disputes have largely involved arrangements and organisers rather than personal allegations against Atif himself.
Atif Aslam, one of Pakistan’s most recognised voices, has performed to packed audiences both locally and internationally throughout his career.
Atif Aslam began his musical journey as a member of the popular band Jal before embarking on his successful solo career.
He went on to lend his powerful vocals to several Bollywood films, while also singing for numerous Pakistani movies.
Apart from music, Atif also tried his hand at acting with the 2011 Pakistani film Bol, in which he appeared as an actor and also contributed his voice to the soundtrack.
He later made his television debut with the drama serial Sang-e-Mah, starring alongside Kubra Khan and Hania Aamir.
