70 held, 360 questioned in TikToker molestation case

Lahore Police have so far arrested 70 suspects in connection with the molestation of a female TikToker at Greater Iqbal Park (Minare Pakistan) on August 14 (Independence Day), have questioned 360 others and are trying to identify more people with the help of video footages, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The suspects arrested so far in connection with the manhandling of Ayesha Akram Beg are likely to be presented in court soon.
According to the FIR of the incident registered, total 400 men were involved in the assault on Ayesha.
Hundreds of youth had pounced upon TikToker Ayesha, lifted her, tore her clothes and kept tossing her here and there for several hours when she went to Minare Pakistan on August 14 along with her friend Rambo to film a video for her TikTok.
The incident was covered even by foreign media and created an outrage in the people who demanded swift action against the culprits.
