Pakistan clinches two gold medals at Asian Bodybuilding Championship in Bangkok

Pakistan's athletes clinched two gold medals in the 57th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship currently underway in Bangkok, Thailand, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.  

The event, which runs until August 25, features top bodybuilders from across Asia.

National players Ijaz Ahmad and Farasat Ali Khan secured top honors in their respective weight categories today.

Ejaz Ahmed delivered a stellar performance by claiming first position in the Masters category, which includes competitors aged between 50 and 60 years.

Competing in the 80kg weight division, he outclassed Indian bodybuilders to secure the top spot.

Vietnam secured the second position in this category, while Malaysia finished third.

India, with two of its bodybuilders in the finals, was left to settle for fourth and fifth places, marking a significant triumph for the Pakistani contender.

In the 75kg weight category, Farasat Ali Khan delivered a powerhouse performance to win the gold medal.

He dominated the stage, defeating three Indian bodybuilders and one athlete from Afghanistan to stand atop the podium.

A total of nine Pakistani bodybuilders are representing the nation at the championship, which began on August 21 and will continue until August 25.

The team's early success has boosted morale, with hopes high for more medals as the competition progresses.
