First Lady Bushra Bibi paid a surprise visit without protocol to the shrine of Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakkar in Pakpattan and also reviewed the administrative arrangements for the shrine.

On First Lady’s direction, the shrine administrator and Auqaf manager were made OSDs for failing to maintain satisfactory arrangements at the Darbar.

According to a notification issued on Friday, a number of other shrine staff were also expelled from District Pakpattan for misbehaving with pilgrims and negligence of duty.

In total 28 officers and employees were transferred from the district and posted to far-flung areas including Lahore. They were replaced by other Auqaf employees brought in from other districts of Punjab. These orders were signed and issued by Chief Auqaf Administrator Lahore Gulzar Hussain.

Ziaul Mustafa from Multan was transferred to Pakpattan and appointed as the new administrator of the Baba Farid shrine. Bashir Ahmad from Lahore was also transferred to Pakpattan and appointed as Manager Auqaf of the city.

In the video shown by 24newshd.tv, First Lady Bushra Bibi along with her two assistants was seen entering the shrine and paying their respects. They went out after some time.
