US dollar pounces on Pakistani rupee

The US dollar has hammered the Pakistani rupee as the greenback has gained 35 paisas against it in the interbank trading, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the market sources, the US dollar rate on Tuesday inched up by 35 paisas and it was being traded for Rs176.10 in the interbank trading.
The dollar was closed at Rs175.75 on Monday while it was exchanged for Rs175.86 on Friday.

After the revival of the IMF loan programme on Feb 2, the rupee showed some resilience and the rate of US dollar was nosedived from the historic high of over Rs180. But gradually, the dollar has started gaining strength.
