Nawaz Sharif eying Punjab CM election

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting in London on the political situation in Punjab with special focus on election of chief minister of the province.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha, Former Federal Minister Ishaq Dar, Anusha Rehman. Saud Majeed participated in the meeting. The ex-premier also contacted the PML-N and PDM leaders.

Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari had a telephonic and the duo discussed the political situation in wake of the Punjab by-election and the election for a new CM of Punjab. The top leadership of the ruling coalition announced backing PM Shehbaz for exploring all possible ways to save his son Hamza Shehbaz’s office as the chief minister of Punjab.
