FPSC to conduct exams, interviews of permanent officers again

Bad news for the civil officers getting permanent from the cabinet committee as the Establishment Division, in the light of the Supreme Court’s (SC) verdict, on Saturday issued the Office of Memorandum, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

As per the memorandum, the SC had declared the cabinet committee for regularization illegal and directives were issued to forward the case of all these officials to the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), which would conduct the exams and interviews of all candidates again.  

The Establishment Division issued instructions to all secretaries after seeking an opinion from the Ministry of Law. 

It was stated in the memorandum that the cabinet committee had the power to regularize the employees from grade I to grade 15 only.  

The decision will affect dozens of officers getting permanent on civil servant posts in different ministries and divisions. 

It will affect the officers in the Board of Immigration, FIA, Federal Education, Federal Seed Certification, Passport Office and other departments.
