Security arrangements finalized for Youm-e-Ali rally in Rawalpindi

The main mourning procession for the 21st Ramadan, marking the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS), will start from Azakhana Mubarak Bano in Mohanpura. It will pass through Fawara Chowk, Raja Bazaar, and Jamia Masjid Road before ending at Imambargah Qadeem.

To ensure security, 3,500 police officers have been deployed. The police and district administration are working together to manage safety measures. Walk-through gates have been installed at key points, and all entry and exit routes along the procession’s path have been closed.

A control room at the Municipal Corporation Office has been set up to monitor the event. Additional CCTV cameras, security checkpoints, and bomb disposal squads are also in place.

Meanwhile, Hussain Maqdisi, leader of  Tehreek Nifaz Fiqh Jafaria (TNJF), will speak to the media about the event.
