Shehbaz’s blood samples collected for Covid-19 test
Blood samples were collected from PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif a day after party’s deputy general secretary Attaullah Tarar contracted coronavirus, media reports suggested on Friday.
According to these reports, Tarar had been in regular contact with Shehbaz since his arrival from London where he stayed for months for looking after his elder brother Nawaz Sharif.
This constant interaction between the two necessitated the test of the party president as a precautionary measure.
Earlier on Thursday, Tarar said in a tweet that he had tested positive for the virus and requested all those who had interacted with him in the past few days to get their tests done and take precautions accordingly.
I have been tested positive for COVID-19— Attaullah Tarar (@TararAttaullah) May 21, 2020
Would like to request all those people who have interacted with me in the past few days to get their tests done and take precautions accordingly. Request for prayers
The party supporters say Tarar has remained busy since the coronavirus outbreak in distributing personal protection equipment among healthcare professionals and ration to the needy, resulting in exposure to more and more people.
