The concept of ‘Nazar’ or ‘Evil eye’ is very prominent in the ‘desi’ culture and this particular norm is quite eminent in the Indian culture as well, whereas if you wish to know what the term ‘nazar’ implies, let us provide you with an authentic Google definition: “A nazar (from Arabic ‏نَظَر‎ Arabic pronunciation: [naðˤar], word deriving from Arabic, meaning, and other related concepts) is an eye-shaped amulet believed to protect against the evil eye.”

Let us make the matter a bit more understandable for you:  It is very common among the Muslim community to develop feelings of anxiety or fear when in the public eye, speficially if they have something impressive regarding their personality or lifestyle that might provoke sentiments of evny or admiration in others, this can ultimately lead to the person who has triggered emotions of awe to be inflicted with ‘nazar’ and ‘nazar’ can ultimately end up impacting whatever blessings that person is bestowed with in the wrong way, hoping this has made the concept of ‘evil eye’ a bit more clear for you.

Whereas with the kind of stardom Sajal Aly has acquired at such a young age is definitely something to protect however let us once again acknowledge how Sajal Aly’s love for herself is so inspiring!
