CCD to now also probe honour killing cases in Punjab

Honour killing cases in Punjab have been handed over to Crime Control Department (CCD) for investigation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to sources, Punjab government decided to implement zero tolerance policy on honour killings.
CCD will investigate cases of murder of sister, daughter, wife or any woman.
Honour killings will be handled as a serious crime like terrorism.
Strict legal action will be taken against the accused in honour killing cases.
CCD gets special powers to investigate and act on honour killing cases.
