Four suspected militants killed in CTD operation in Pishin
Four suspected militants were killed during a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in the Surkhab Camp area of Pishin, according to a CTD spokesperson.
The spokesperson said security personnel conducted the operation in the area near Quetta, where an exchange of fire took place between the suspected militants and law enforcement personnel.
As a result of the gun battle, four alleged terrorists were killed, the spokesperson said.
Authorities also recovered a cache of weapons and explosives from the slain suspects, including hand grenades, improvised explosive devices, firearms and ammunition.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for legal formalities.
According to the CTD spokesperson, the suspects were affiliated with a banned organization.
Meanwhile, Mohsin Naqvi praised Counter Terrorism Department Balochistan for the operation, saying the department had thwarted the “evil intentions” of militants through effective action.
The interior minister commended the professionalism of CTD Balochistan and paid tribute to the entire team for carrying out the operation.
“CTD is proud of the brave sons of Balochistan,” Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement.
